ABSTRACT: Japanese eel endothelial cell-infecting virus (JEECV) causes viral endothelial cell necrosis of eel (VECNE), resulting in severe economic losses in eel aquaculture in Japan. Here, we report the complete genome sequences of two new JEECV strains isolated from farmed Japanese eels.

Project description:Here, we report the complete genome sequences of two strains of Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (MAFF106712 and MAFF302021), which cause black rot in crucifer crops, isolated from Chinese cabbage and cauliflower, respectively, in Japan. The MAFF106712 chromosome was 5,002,720 bp, with a G+C content of 65.2%, and harbored one plasmid of 78,747 bp. The MAFF302021 chromosome was 5,048,651 bp, with a G+C content of 65.1%.

Here, we report the genome sequences of two new Mimiviridae family members, isolated from water samples from Shirakoma Pond and the mouth of the Arakawa River in Japan, with nearly complete genome sizes of 1,182,849 and 1,182,801 bp, respectively.

Complete Genome Sequences for Two Myoviridae Strains Infecting Cyanobacteria in a Subarctic Lake.

Project description:We isolated two closely related strains that belong to the Myoviridae family and infect cyanobacteria in a shallow subarctic rock basin lake. Their host was identified as a member of the Synechococcus-Cyanobium complex. Sequenced genomes of the two phages were 244,930 bp and 243,633 bp. We describe their annotation and highlight some noteworthy features.

Project description:Here, we report the complete genome sequences of three Ralstonia solanacearum strains isolated from Zingiberaceae plants in Japan. The total genome sizes of these strains ranged from 5.87 to 6.05?Mb. Strains MAFF 211472, MAFF 211479, and MAFF 311693 each carried one chromosome and one megaplasmid. MAFF 311693 contained an additional 71.9-kb plasmid.

Here we report two complete genome sequences of H. pylori phages KHP30 and KHP40, which were released spontaneously from the most pathogenic East Asian-type isolates from Japanese patients.
