In this study, we have employed graphene oxide as a matrix to simultaneously and directly quantify serum nonesterified and esterified fatty acids (FAs) using matrix-assisted laser/desorption ionization-Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (MALDI-FTICR MS).
