A new species of <i>Charinus</i> is described and illustrated from the Brazilian Atlantic Forest. <i>Charinus ruschii</i><b>sp. n.</b> is found in Santa Lúcia reserve, Espírito Santo state, and is sympatric with <i>Charinus brasilianus</i> and <i>Charinus montanus</i>.
