Senescing individuals have poor survival prospects and low fecundity. They can also produce offspring with reduced survival and reproductive success. We tested the effect of parental age on the performance of descendants in the nematode <i>Heligmosomoides polygyrus</i>, an intestinal parasite of rodents.
