Differences in longevity between sexes is a mysterious yet general phenomenon across great evolutionary distances. To test the roles of responses to environmental cues and sexual behaviors in longevity regulation, we examined <i>Caenorhabditis</i> male lifespan under solitary, grouped, and mated conditions.
