The title compound, C14H13NO2, is a commercially available material and can be used as a multidentate ligand. The mol-ecule of the asymmetric unit has an <i>R</i> configuration, while the corresponding <i>S</i>-configured mol-ecule of the racemic mixture is generated by a crystallographic centre of symmetry. Both hy-droxy groups (the H atom of the oxime group is equally disordered over two positions) are involved in hydrogen bonding, leading to the formation of c ...[more]
