The transcription factor Gbx2 (gastrulation brain homeobox 2) is a direct target of the LIF/STAT3 signaling pathway, maintains mouse embryonic stem cell (mESC) self-renewal, and facilitates mouse epiblast stem cell (mEpiSC) reprogramming to naïve pluripotency.
