Breast cancer stem cells (BCSCs) are thought to be responsible for tumor initiation, metastasis and relapse. Our group and others have described markers useful in isolating BCSCs just as aldehyde dehydrogenase positive (ALDH<sup>+</sup>) or CD24<sup>-</sup>CD44<sup>+</sup>.
