In the title hydrated azo compound, C<sub>8</sub>H<sub>8</sub>N<sub>6</sub>S·H<sub>2</sub>O, the two aromatic groups are close to coplanar with the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the thia-zole and pyridine rings being 2.9 (2)°. The organic mol-ecule adopts an <i>E</i> configuration with respect to the double bond of the azo bridge. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by (amine)N-H⋯N(pyridine), (amine)N-H⋯O(water) and (water)O-H⋯N(thia-zole) hydrogen bonds along with π-π inter-action ...[more]
