Flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD)-dependent glucose dehydrogenase (GDH) was identified and cloned from thermophilic filamentous fungi <i>Talaromyces emersonii</i> using the homology cloning method. A direct electron transfer bioanode composed of <i>T. emersonii</i> FAD-GDH and a single-walled carbon nanotube was produced.
