N<sup>6</sup>-methyladenosine (m<sup>6</sup>A) regulates mRNA metabolism and translation, serving as an important source of post-transcriptional regulation. To date, the functional consequences of m<sup>6</sup>A deficiency within the adult brain have not been determined.
