The <i>Escherichia coli</i> methionine ABC transporter MetNI exhibits both high-affinity transport toward l-methionine and broad specificity toward methionine derivatives, including d-methionine. In this work, we characterize the transport of d-methionine derivatives by the MetNI transporter.
