<h4>Introduction</h4>Wear debris-induced osteolysis is a common cause of arthroplasty failure in several joints including the knee, hip and intervertebral disc. Debris from the prosthesis can trigger an inflammatory response that leads to aseptic loosening and prosthesis failure.
