Poly-ADP-ribose polymerases (PARPs 1-16) have emerged as major regulators of diverse cellular processes. PARPs can be subclassified based on their ability to catalyze poly-ADP-ribosylation (PARylation) or mono-ADP-ribosylation (MARylation).
