Concepts of 464 university freshmen towards Environmental Education (EE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) were analyzed. Responses were classified into seven main categories: 'ecological aspects', 'ecological problems', 'economical aspects', 'social aspects', 'environmental attitudes', 'environmental behavior' and 'education'.
