Pseudotyped lentiviral vectors give access to pathway-selective gene manipulation via retrograde transfer. Two types of such lentiviral vectors have been developed. One is the so-called NeuRet vector pseudotyped with fusion glycoprotein type E, which preferentially transduces neurons.
