Using 2-aminobenzimidazole derivatives to inhibit Mycobacterium smegmatis biofilm formation.


ABSTRACT: Biofilm formation by mycobacteria can lead to enhanced antibiotic tolerance. Herein, we report on the identification of a series of 2-aminobenzimidazole (2-ABI) derivatives that potently inhibit biofilm formation by Mycobacterium smegmatis.
