ABSTRACT: A thermophilic and hydrogenogenic carboxydotroph, Carboxydothermus pertinax, performs hydrogenogenic CO metabolism in which CODH-II couples with distally encoded ECH. To enhance our knowledge of its hydrogenogenic CO metabolism, we performed whole transcriptome analysis of C. pertinax grown under 100% CO or 100% N2 using RNA sequencing.
