Hypoxia is commonly encountered in the tumor microenvironment and drives proliferation, angiogenesis, and resistance to therapy. Imaging of hypoxia is important in many disease states in oncology, cardiology, and neurology. Finding clinically approved imaging biomarkers for hypoxia has proved challenging.
