A new compound, nigronapthaphenyl, was extracted from the endophytic fungus <i>Nigrospora sphaerica</i> isolated from a mangrove plant <i>Bruguiera gymnorrhyza</i>. The structure of the compound was elucidated by analysis of 1D and 2D NMR spectra and mass spectrometric data.
