Poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), a linear polymer known for its "stealth" properties, is commonly used to passivate the surface of biomedical implants and devices, and it is conjugated to biologic drugs to improve their pharmacokinetics. However, its antigenicity is a growing concern.
