Niemann-Pick Type C (NP-C) is a rare disorder of lipid metabolism caused by mutations within the <i>NPC1</i> and <i>NPC2</i> genes. NP-C is a neurovisceral disease leading to a heterogeneous, multisystemic spectrum of symptoms in those affected.
