RA is a chronic, autoimmune-mediated inflammatory pathology. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a novel group of non-coding RNAs with a length of >200 nucleotides. There are reports emerging that suggest that lncRNAs participate in establishing and sustaining autoimmune diseases, including RA. In this review article, we highlight the functions of lncRNAs in different cell types in RA.
