The presence of impurities can drastically affect the efficacy and safety of pharmaceutical entities. <i>p</i>-Aminophenol (PAP) is one of the main impurities of paracetamol (PA) that can potentially show toxic effects such as maternal toxicity and nephrotoxicity.
