This study focuses on succinic acid production by <i>Actinobacillus succinogenes</i> in batch fermentation from whey and lactose widely encountered in dairy effluents. The effects of initial whey and lactose concentration, CO<sub>2</sub> rate on succinic acid production were investigated.
