Type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) and their adaptive counterpart type 2 T helper (T<sub>H</sub>2) cells respond to interleukin-33 (IL-33) by producing IL-5, which is a crucial cytokine for eosinophil development in the bone marrow.
