Faecal lipopolysaccharides (LPS) have attracted attention as potent elements to explain a correlation between the gut microbiota and cardiovascular disease (CVD) progression. However, the underlying mechanism of how specific gut bacteria contribute to faecal LPS levels remains unclear.
