The goeduck clam <i>Panopea abrupta</i> (Myoida: Hiatellidae) is one of the most important freshwater aquaculture species in China. In-spite of its economic importance, however, the genomic information of this species remains unavailable. In this study, we report the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of <i>P. abrupta</i> along with annotated and fully characterized mitochondrial genes.
