The dragonfly <i>Macromia daimoji</i> Okumura, 1949 (Odonata: Macromiidae) has been listed as an Endangered insect in South Korea. We sequenced the complete 15,198 bp mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of this organism, which is the first mitogenome sequence reported from the family Macromiidae.
