The transcriptome analysis of injured <i>Xenopus laevis</i> tadpole and mice suggested that <i>Neurod4L.S</i>., a basic-helix-loop-helix transcription factor, was the most promising transcription factor to exert neuroregeneration after spinal cord injury (SCI) in mammals.
