Genome Sequences for Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase-Producing Escherichia coli Strains Isolated from Different Water Sources.
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Enterobacteriaceae are considered a critical priority by the World Health Organization. Presented here are two genome sequences of Escherichia coli strains isolated from New Zealand freshwater. The genome sequences' mean size was 5.2 Mb, with a mean of 4,848 coding sequences. Both genomes carried the ESBL blaCTX-M gene.
