<i>Malus</i> × <i>domestica</i> (apple) accumulates particularly high amounts of dihydrochalcones in various tissues, with phloridzin (phloretin 2'-<i>O</i>-glucoside) being prevalent, although small amounts of 3-hydroxyphloretin and 3-hydroxyphloridzin are also constitutively present.
