<i>Candida albicans</i> and <i>Candida glabrata</i> are opportunistic fungal pathogens with increasing incidence worldwide and higher-than-expected prevalence in Denmark. We whole-genome sequenced yeast isolates collected from Danish Clinical Microbiology Laboratories to obtain an overview of the <i>Candida</i> population in the country.
