The cytosolic DNA-sensing cGAS-STING pathway has been proved to be involved in tumor progression and influence the effect of cancer immunotherapy. However, little attentions have been paid to the role of cGAS-STING pathway on cancer stemness. Herein, we found that the cGAS-STING pathway was activated in different tumor cells. cGAS- or STING-knockout impaired the capability of tumor formation in vivo and tumorsphere formation in vitro. In addition, loss of cGAS-STING cascade promoted tumor apopto ...[more]
