In order to achieve the low cost and multifunction of superabsorbent composites, poly(acrylic acid-<i>co</i>-acrylamide)/fulvic acid/oil shale semicoke (PAMFS) were prepared by free radical copolymerization of fulvic acid (FA), oil shale semicoke (OSSC), acrylic acid (AA) and acrylamide (AM).
