Recently, MnO<sub>2</sub>-coated polymeric filters have shown promising performance in room-temperature formaldehyde abatement. However, a commonly known concern of MnO<sub>2</sub>/polymer composites is either MnO<sub>2</sub> crystal encapsulation or weak adhesion.
