ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C₂₂H₂₃N₃O₂, the cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation. The methyl-phenyl ring is oriented at an angle of 36.2 (1)° with respect to the best plane of cyclo-hexane moiety. In the crystal, mol-ecules associate via C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

In the crystal, pairs of mol-ecules are connected via N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds into inversion dimers. The mol-ecules are characterized by a planar indole moiety [maximum deviation = 0.012 (1) Å], a chair conformation of the cyclo-hexane ring and an anti-periplanar conformation of the H atom on the cyclo-hexane and the adjacent cyano group.

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C48H42N4O5, a potential non-linear optical compound, the furan ring [r.m.s. deviation = 0.010?(1)?Å] and the indolyl-idene ring system [r.m.s. deviation = 0.013?(2)?Å] are inclined to one another by 18.52?(6)°. This is similar to the arrangement [16.51?(18)°] found for the N-hy-droxy-ethyl adduct of the title compound [Bhuiyan et al. (2011 ?). Mol. Cryst. Liq. Cryst. 548, 1-12]. Replacing the hy-droxy-ethyl group with 3,5-di-benzyl-oxybenzoate has not resulted in a non-centrosymmetric lattice arrangement or significant changes to the basic mol-ecular structure. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of C-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with an R (2) 2(20) ring motif. The dimers are linked via C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming C(17) chains along [010]. The chains are linked by further C-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to (001) and enclosing R 2 (2)(44) ring motifs. There are also C-H?? inter-actions present, stabilizing the inter-layer orientation of the pendant bis-(benz-yloxy)benzo-yloxy group.

Project description:In the title compound, C9H13N3O, the cyclo-hexyl-idene ring adopts a chair conformation and the bond-angle sum at the C atom linked to the N atom is 359.6°. The cyano-acetohydrazide grouping is close to planar (r.m.s. deviation for the non-H atoms = 0.031 Å) and subtends a dihedral angle of 64.08 (4)° with the four C atoms forming the seat of the chair. The C=O and N-H groups are in a syn conformation (O-C-N-H = -5°). Project description:In the racemic title compound, C17H15ClN2O4, which has been synthesized and the crystal structure of the solvent-free mol-ecule determined, the angle between the planes of the benzene and cyclo-propane rings is 54.29 (10)°. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by two weak intra-molecular C-H⋯Ocarbox-yl inter-actions. In the crystal, C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form centrosymmetric cyclic R 2 (2)(10) dimers which are linked into chain substructures extending along c. Further C-H⋯Nnitrile hydrogen bonding, including a centrosymmetric cyclic R 2 (2)(14) association, link the chain substructures, forming a two-dimensional layered structure extending across the approximate ab plane. No significant π-π or halogen-halogen inter-molecular inter-actions are present in the crystal.
