<i>Veronica arvensis</i>, which is an annual flowering plant in the plantain family Plantaginaceae, has commonly used as a Chinese herbal medicine to treat malaria in China. Here, the complete plastome of <i>V. arvensis</i> was successfully assembled based on genome skimming sequencing.
