The β<sub>3</sub>-adrenergic receptor (β<sub>3</sub>AR) is predominantly expressed in adipose tissue and urinary bladder and has emerged as an attractive drug target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, obesity, and overactive bladder (OAB).
