Host nasopharyngeal transcriptome analysis in a SARS-CoV-2 positive Italian cohort
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Diffusion of SARS-CoV-2 canalized efforts to understand virus effects on host cells. Characterization of cellular pathways affected by the virus in infected cells represents a rational approach to understand its effects on human health. To this end, in depth RNA sequencing was applied here to samples from nasopharyngeal swabs of 35 SARS-CoV-2 infected subjects from the Campania region in Italy showing various degrees of Covid-19 clinical manifestation.
