Ascorbate suppresses the opiate-induced compensatory increase in cyclic AMP in neuroblastoma X glioma hybrid cells.

ABSTRACT: In NG108-15 hybrid cells ascorbate suppresses the delayed etorphine-induced compensatory increase in the levels of cyclic AMP. It has, however, no effect on the early response of the cells to etorphine, as manifested in a transient decrease in the levels of cyclic AMP.
