ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(15)H(13)NO(5), the vanillin group makes a dihedral angle of 4.95?(8)° with the benzene ring of the nitro-benzene group. The packing is stabilized by weak, non-classical inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions which link mol-ecules into chains running along the c axis.
