ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(10)H(8)ClNO(3), is a significant anti-convulsant agent. The indolinone system is essentially planar, the dihedral angle between the rings being 2.24?(8)°. The dioxolane ring adopts an envelope conformation; the dihedral angle between the plane through its four coplanar atoms and the indolinone system is 89.8?(1)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by a three-dimensional network of inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

The crystal structure exhibits inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

The five-membered rings of the benzothia-zole groups in both mol-ecules adopt an envelope conformation [puckering parameters: q(2) = 0.242?(1)?Å and ?(2) = 217.5?(4)° for A, and q(2) = 0.234?(1)?Å and ?(2) = 37.7?(4)° for B]. Project description:In the title compound, C(20)H(13)NO, the indene ring is disordered over two sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.557?(2):0.443?(2). Both disordered components of indene are nearly perpendicular to the naphthalene ring system, making dihedral angles of 90.9?(2) and 85.0?(5)°. The five-membered ring of the 1H-pyrrol-2(3H)-one adopts an envelope conformation with the spiro C atom at the flap position. Project description:In the crystal structures of the title compounds, C15H11Cl2NOS, (1), and C15H11Cl2NO2S, (2), wherein (2) is the oxidized form of (1), the thia-zolidine ring is attached to two chloro-phenyl rings. The chloro-phenyl ring on the 2-carbon atom position points in the same direction as that of the S atom in (1), while in (2), the S atom points in the opposite direction. The O atom on the chiral S atom in (2) is trans to the chloro-phenyl ring on the 2-carbon. The chloro-phenyl ring planes in each structure are close to orthogonal, making dihedral angles of 78.61 (6) and 87.46 (8)° in (1) and (2), respectively. The thia-zolidine ring has a twisted conformation on the S-Cmethine bond in (1), and an envelope conformation with the S atom 0.715 (3) Å out of the plane of other four atoms in (2). In the crystal of (1), mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, as well as by slipped parallel π-π inter-actions [inter-centroid distance = 3.840 (3) Å] between inversion-related phenyl rings, forming sheets parallel to (001). In the crystal of (2), mol-ecules are linked via C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, forming slabs parallel to (001).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C21H15Cl2N5O4, contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B) having similar conformations. The amine (NH2) group forms an intra-molecular hydrogen bond with the benzoyl group, giving an S(6) ring motif in both mol-ecules. The central six-membered rings adopt sofa conformations and the imidazole rings are planar (r.m.s deviations = 0.0150 and 0.0166 Å). The pyridine and imidazole rings are inclined to one another by 3.54 (1) and 3.03 (1)° in mol-ecules A and B, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the a axis which enclose R 2 (2)(16) ring motifs. The rings are linked by weak N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions forming sheets lying parallel to (001). A region of disordered electron density, most probably disordered solvent mol-ecules, occupying voids of ca 753 Å(3) for an electron count of 260, was treated using the SQUEEZE routine in PLATON [Spek (2009 ▶). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. Their formula mass and unit-cell characteristics were not taken into account during refinement.

Project description:The title compound, C16H17NOS2, consists of a carbazole skeleton with methyl and dithiol-ane groups as substituents. In the indole ring system, the benzene and pyrrole rings are nearly coplanar, forming a dihedral angle of 1.02 (11)°. The cyclo-hexenone ring has a twisted conformation, while the dithiol-ane ring adopts an envelope conformation with one of the CH2 C atoms at the flap. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into supra-molecular chains nearly parallel to the c axis. These hydrogen bonds together with weak C-H⋯π inter-actions link the molecules into a three-dimensional supramolecular network.

Development of spiro-3-indolin-2-one containing compounds of antiproliferative and anti-SARS-CoV-2 properties.

Project description:A series of 1″-(alkylsulfonyl)-dispiro[indoline-3,2'-pyrrolidine-3',3″-piperidine]-2,4″-diones 6a‒o has been synthesized through regioselective multi-component azomethine dipolar cycloaddition reaction of 1-(alkylsulfonyl)-3,5-bis(ylidene)-piperidin-4-ones 3a‒h. X-ray diffraction studies (6b‒d,h) confirmed the structures. The majority of the synthesized analogs reveal promising antiproliferation properties against a variety of human cancer cell lines (MCF7, HCT116, A431 and PaCa2) with good selectivity index towards normal cell (RPE1). Some of the synthesized agents exhibit potent inhibitory properties against the tested cell lines with higher efficacies than the standard references (sunitinib and 5-fluorouracil). Compound 6m is the most potent. Multi-targeted inhibitory properties against EGFR and VEGFR-2 have been observed for the synthesized agents. Flow cytometry supports the antiproliferation properties and shows the tested agents as apoptosis and necrosis forming. Vero cell viral infection model demonstrates the anti-SARS-CoV-2 properties of the synthesized agents. Compound 6f is the most promising (about 3.3 and 4.8 times the potency of the standard references, chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine). QSAR models explain and support the observed biological properties.
