Project description:In the title compound, [Ni(C(21)H(24)N(2)O(2))]·H(2)O, both the complex mol-ecule and the water mol-ecule lie on a twofold rotation axis. The Ni(II) ion is coordinated in a distorted square-planar geometry by the tetra-dentate ligand. The dihedral angle between the two symmetry-related benzene rings is 47.12?(8)°. In the crystal, pairs of symmetry-related O-H?O hydrogen bonds form R(2) (2)(6) ring motifs. In addition, there are weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds, and ?-? stacking inter-actions with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.4760?(8)?Å.

Project description:In the title co-crystal, C25H32N4O2·C14H10O5, mol-ecules are connected into supra-molecular chains aligned along [102] by O-H?N hydrogen bonding. These aggregate into supra-molecular layers oriented parallel to (20-1) by C-H?O inter-actions. These layers then stack in an ABAB pattern along the c crystal direction to give the full three-dimensional crystal structure. The central chain in the dipyridylamide has an anti-anti conformation. The dihedral angle between the aromatic ring planes is 29.96?(3)°. Disorder is noted in some of the residues in the structure and this is manifested in two coplanar dispositions of one statistically disordered carb-oxy-lic acid group.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(17)H(16)N(4), is a bis-indazole crystallized in the rare 2H-tautomeric form. Indazole heterocycles are connected by a propane C(3) chain, and the mol-ecule is placed on a general position, in contrast to the analogous compound with a central C(2) ethane bridge, which was previously found to be placed on an inversion center in the same space group. In the title mol-ecule, indazole rings make a dihedral angle of 60.11?(7)°, and the bridging alkyl chain displays a trans conformation, resulting in a W-shaped mol-ecule. In the crystal, mol-ecules inter-act weakly through ?-? contacts between inversion-related pyrazole rings, with a centroid-centroid separation of 3.746?(2)?Å.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ni(C(19)H(16)I(4)N(2)O(2))], comprises half of a Schiff base complex. The Ni(II) atom is located on a twofold rotation axis which also bis-ects the central C atom of the 2,2-dimethyl-propane group of the ligand. The geometry around the Ni(II) atom is distorted square-planar, with a dihedral angle of 21.7?(3)° between the symmetry-related N/Ni/O coordination planes. The dihedral angle between the symmetry-related benzene rings is 27.9?(3)°. In the crystal, short inter-molecular I?I [3.8178?(9) and 3.9013?(10)?Å] inter-actions are present.

Project description:In the title solvated salt, C9H14N(+)·Cl(-)·C19H24O2·0.5C7H7, two mol-ecules of 4,4'-(propane-2,2-di-yl)bis-(2,6-di-methyl-phenol) are linked via O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds to two chloride ions, each of which is also engaged in N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonding to a 4-tert-butyl-pyridinium cation, giving a cyclic hydrogen-bonded entity centred at 1/2, 1/2, 1/2. The toluene solvent mol-ecule resides in the lattice and resides on an inversion centre; the disorder of the methyl group requires it to have a site-occupancy factor of 0.5. No crystal packing channels are observed.

Project description:The title compound, C(33)H(26)N(6)O(2), contains two 3-(quinolin-8-yl)urea groups linked to a diphenyl-methane. The asymmetric unit contains two mol-ecules, A and B. Each quinoline plane is essentially parallel to the attached urea unit [dihedral angles = 8.97?(18) and 8.81?(19) in molecule A and 18.47?(18) and 4.09?(19)° in molecule B]. The two benzene rings are twisted, making dihedral angles of 81.36?(8)° in A and 87.20?(9)° in B. The molecular structures are stabilized by intramolecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, each urea O atom is involved in two N-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating two inter-penetrating three-dimensional sets of mol-ecules.

The structure of the title compound consists of ?-octa-molybdate(VI) anion clusters and protonated [H(2)L](2+) cations. The octa-molybdate anion is located around an inversion center. N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the cations and anions ensure the cohesion of the structure and result in a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compounds 5,5'-(propane-2,2-di-yl)bis-(2-hy-droxy-benzaldehyde), C17H16O4, (1), and 5,5'-(propane-2,2-di-yl)bis-(2-hy-droxy-isophthalaldehyde), C19H16O6, (2), crystallize with one mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. In mol-ecule (1), a >C(CH3)2 group bridges two nearly planar salicyl-aldehyde groups [r.m.s deviations = 0.010 (1) and 0.025 (2) Å], each comprising a planar phenyl ring bonded with a hydroxyl and an aldehyde group. Similarly, compound (2) has the same bridging group, but it connects two nearly planar appendants [r.m.s deviations = 0.034 (1) and 0.035 (1) Å], each comprising a phenyl ring bonded with a hydroxyl and two aldehyde groups. Mol-ecule (1) exhibits a bridge angle of 109.5 (2)° with the salicyl-aldehyde planes subtending a dihedral angle of 88.4 (1)°. In contrast, mol-ecule (2) presents a bridge angle of 108.9 (2)° with its appendants subtending a dihedral angle of 79.6 (3)°. Both mol-ecules exhibit two intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the phenolic H atoms and carboxyl O-atom acceptors. In the crystal of (2), O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between one of the hydroxyl H atoms and a carboxyl O atom from a symmetry-related mol-ecule form a chain along [10]. In addition, (2) exhibits a strong visible luminescence when excited with ultraviolet radiation.
