Bis-[4,4'-(propane-1,3-di-yl)-dipiperidin-ium] ?-octa-molybdate(VI).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, bis-[4,4'-(propane-1,3-di-yl)-dipiperidin-ium] ?-octa-molybdate(VI), (C(13)H(28)N(2))(2)[Mo(8)O(26)], was produced by hydro-thermal reaction of an acidified aqueous solution of Na(2)MoO(4)·2H(2)O and 4,4'-trimethyl-ene-dipiperidine (L). The structure of the title compound consists of ?-octa-molybdate(VI) anion clusters and protonated [H(2)L](2+) cations. The octa-molybdate anion is located around an inversion center. N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the cations and anions ensure the cohesion of the structure and result in a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, {(C(20)H(20)N(4))(2)[Mo(8)O(26)]}(n), the asymmetric unit contains half of an [Mo(8)O(26)](4-) anion and one 3,3'-[(biphenyl-4,4'-di-yl)dimethyl-ene]diimidazol-1-ium dication. In the anion, four distorted [MoO(6)] octa-hedra are connected via edge-sharing, forming an [Mo(4)O(13)](2-) building block, composed of Mo-O(t), Mo-O(?2), Mo-O(?3) and Mo-O(?4) units, with Mo-O distances ranging from 1.6858?(15) to 2.4785?(13)?Å. The ?-type [Mo(8)O(26)](4-) anion is completed by crystallographic inversion symmetry and is linked into an infinite chain along [100] by corner-sharing. The anionic chains and the cations are joined by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating layers extending parallel to (001).

Project description:The title compound, (C(13)H(16)N(2))[NiCl(4)] or (H(2)bpp)·NiCl(4) [bpp is 1,3-bis-(4-pyrid-yl)propane], is isostructural with its already reported Cu, Zn and Hg analogues. The structure consists of a doubly charged (H(2)bpp)(2+) cation and a tetra-hedral [NiCl(4)](2-) dianion. Project description:The title compound, C(25)H(30)N(4) (2+)·2Br(-)·H(2)O, was synthesized from 1,1'-propyl-enedibenzimidazole and (E)-1-bromo-but-2-ene in dimethyl-formamide solution. The two benzimidazole ring systems are essentially planar, with maximum deviations of 0.011 (4) and 0.023 (3) Å. The dihedral angle between these two ring systems is 25.87 (15)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H⋯Br and C-H⋯Br hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. Atmospheric water was incorporated into the crystal structure.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(17)H(16)N(4), is a bis-indazole crystallized in the rare 2H-tautomeric form. Indazole heterocycles are connected by a propane C(3) chain, and the mol-ecule is placed on a general position, in contrast to the analogous compound with a central C(2) ethane bridge, which was previously found to be placed on an inversion center in the same space group. In the title mol-ecule, indazole rings make a dihedral angle of 60.11?(7)°, and the bridging alkyl chain displays a trans conformation, resulting in a W-shaped mol-ecule. In the crystal, mol-ecules inter-act weakly through ?-? contacts between inversion-related pyrazole rings, with a centroid-centroid separation of 3.746?(2)?Å.
