ABSTRACT: In the title structure, [Pb(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)](n), the Pb(II) ion is six-coordinated by two pyridazine-3-carboxyl-ate ligands via N and O atoms, with the carboxyl-ato O atoms acting as bidentate and bridging adjacent Pb(II) ions, giving rise to catenated mol-ecular ribbons propagating along the a-axis direction. The ribbons are connected by C-H?O hydrogen bonds and van der Waals inter-actions.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [Pb(2)(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(4)(H(2)O)(6)]·2H(2)O, is composed of dimeric mol-ecules in which two symmetry-related Pb(2+) ions are bridged by a pair of two pyridazine-4-carboxyl-ate ligand mol-ecules via both heterocyclic N atoms and two water O atoms. Each Pb(2+) ion is also coordinated by two carboxyl-ate O atoms and three water O atoms, leading to a highly irregular coordination polyhedron around Pb(2+). The dimers are inter-connected by hydrogen bonds between coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules and the carboxyl-ate O atoms. O-H?N inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The title complex, [Pb(C(8)H(5)N(2)O(2)S)(2)](n), consists of one Pb(II) ion located on a crystallographic twofold axis and two symmetry-related 2-amino-1,3-benzothia-zole-6-carboxyl-ate (ABTC) ligands. The central Pb(II) ion has a (4 + 2) coordination by four O atoms of the two ABTC ligands and two weaker Pb-S bonding inter-actions (Pb-S secondary bonds) from S atoms of other two neighbouring ABTC ligands. These bonds link the metal ions into zigzag chains along the c axis, which, in turn, aggregate through ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.7436?Å] between ABTC rings and N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Zn(C(10)H(6)NO(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n), consists of one quinoline-4-carboxyl-ate anion, half of a Zn(2+) cation and half of a coordinated water mol-ecule. The cation and the water O atom have crystallographically imposed inversion and twofold rotation symmetry, respectively. The metal centre displays an elongated ZnO(6) octa-hedral coordination geometry provided by the O atoms of four anions at the equatorial plane and two axial water mol-ecules. Each anion and water mol-ecule act as bridges between Zn(II) cations, forming a polymeric chain parallel to [001]. The chains are further linked into a three-dimensional framework through O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

One donates its N,O-bonding group and the other donates both carboxyl-ate O atoms. Each of the latter bridges adjacent uranyl ions. The coordination environment of the metal center is a distorted penta-gonal bipyramid. The dimers are inter-connected by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules and carboxyl-ate O atoms. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N inter-action is also present.

Project description:In the polymeric structure of the title compound {[Li(2)(C(6)H(2)N(2)O(4))(2)Li(H(2)O)(2)Li(H(2)O)]·H(2)O}(n), the coordination of two independent Li(I) ions is distorted trigonal-bipyramidal and that of the other two independent Li(I) ions is distorted tetra-hedral. The former two Li(I) ions are bridged by hetero-ring N atoms of two independent pyridazine-3,6-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, making a dimeric moiety. The carboxyl-ato-O atoms of both bidentate ligands bridge the dimers to adjacent independent aqua-coordinated Li(I) ions, forming mol-ecular ribbons. The latter are bridged by ligand carboxyl-ato and aqua O atoms, forming mol-ecular layers parallel to (100) which are held together by an extended system of O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

The metal center lies on an inversion center and adopts an octa-hedral geometry with the carboxyl-ate groups tilted out of the mean plane formed by the btec. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into one-dimensional coordination polymers running along the ac diagonal. The crystal structure is consolidated by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds.
