Project description:The anion of the title salt, C(6)H(9)N(2) (+)·C(6)H(4)NO(3) (-), undergoes an enol-to-keto tautomerism during the crystallization. In the crystal structure, the cation and anion are held together by a relatively short N-H?O hydrogen bond, and the two anions are further connected to each other by a pair of N-H?O hydrogen bonds with an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif, thus forming a centrosymmetric 2 + 2 aggregate. The aggregates are further linked through weak N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, resulting a three-dimensional network.

The ion pairs are further connected via O-H?O, N-H?O, N-H?Br and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network parallel to the bc plane. The water mol-ecules self-assemble through O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming one-dimensional supra-molecular chains along the a axis, with graph-set notation C(2) (2)(4).

Project description:In the 3-hy-droxy-picolinate anion of the title salt, C6H9N2 (+)·C6H4NO3 (-), an intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond with an S(6) graph-set motif is formed, so that the anion is essentially planar, with a dihedral angle of 9.55?(9)° between the pyridine ring and the carboxyl-ate group. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked via N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a centrosymmetric 2 + 2 aggregate with R 2 (2)(8) and R 4 (2)(8) ring motifs. The crystal structure also features N-H?N and weak C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(6)H(9)N(2) (+)·C(7)H(4)NO(4) (-)·1.5H(2)O, extensive O-H?O, O-H?N, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, as well as ion pairing, ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.4690?(8) and 3.6932?(8)?Å between aromatic rings] occur in the crystal. There are hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between water mol-ecules, which result in cyclic tetra-meric water clusters. One of the water O molecules has half occupancy. In the anion molecules, the -CO(2) and -CO(2)H groups make torsion angles of 1.73?(18) and -12.14?(18)° with respect to the ring.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 4C(20)H(22)N(4)O(5)·2C(2)H(6)O·CH(4)O, contains two pyridine-3-carboxyl-ate mol-ecules, one ethanol mol-ecule and one methanol mol-ecule disordered about in a centre of symmetry. The pyridinone ring, the carbamide group and the bicyclic fragment in both independent mol-ecules are planar within 0.03?Å due to the formation of intra-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds. The formation of these latter inter-actions also causes the redistribution of the electron density within the hydroxy-pyridone fragment, with the result that some bonds are elongated compared with values in the literature and some others are shorter. In the crystal phase, the pyridine-3-carboxyl-ate mol-ecules form layers parallel to (010), which are inter-linked through hydrogen bonds mediated by the bridging solvate mol-ecules. A terminal ethyl group in one of the mol-ecules is disordered over two sites of equally occupancy.
