ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(20)H(15)BrN(2)O(2), crystallized with three independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. Intramolecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds induce coplanarity of the substituted benzene ring and the benzimidazole ring, with mean deviations from the planes of 0.0931?(10), 0.0448?(10) and 0.0083?(11)?Å in the three mol-ecules.
