Project description:The polymorphism of the title compound, C15H8N2S5, is reported, in which the (syn,syn) and (syn,anti) conformers simultaneously crystallized from a chloro-form solution. The complete mol-ecule of the (syn,syn) form is generated by a crystallographic twofold axis. The geometries of both conformers are compared in detail, revealing no significant differences in bond lengths, despite different bond angles because of the conformational changes. Analysis of the inter-molecular inter-actions, aided by Hirshfeld surfaces, shows distinctive S?S and S?N contacts only for the (syn,anti) conformer. Aromatic ?-?-stacking inter-actions are found for both conformers, which occur for the (syn,anti) conformer between pairs of mol-ecules, but are continuous stacks in the (syn,syn) conformer. Non merohedral twinning was found for the crystal of the (syn,anti) conformer used for data collection.

Project description:There are two independent and conformationally dissimilar mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C11H6F3N3O3S; the dihedral angles between the benzene and thia-zole rings are 33.8 (2)° in A and 59.7 (2)° in B. The similarity of the C-N bond lengths in the amide group [1.379 (5) and 1.358 (5) Å for A, and 1.365 (5) and 1.363 (5) Å for B] indicates the presence of conjugation between the two rings. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming chains extending along [010]; weak N-H⋯Oamide inter-actions are also present in the structure.

Project description:In the title compound, C10H7FN2OS, the mean plane of the central amide fragment (r.m.s. deviation = 0.048?Å) makes dihedral angles of 35.28?(8) and 10.14?(12)° with those of the fluoro-benzene and thia-zole rings, respectively. The thia-zole S and amide O atoms lie to the same side of the mol-ecule. In the crystal, pairs of N-H?N hydrogen bonds connect the mol-ecules into inversion dimers with R 2 (2)(8) motifs, and weak C-H?O inter-actions connect the mol-ecules into C(6) [001] chains. Together, the N-H?N and C-H?O hydrogen bonds generate (100) sheets.

There are two mol-ecules (labeled A and B) in the asymmetric unit. The F atoms of three of the -CF3 groups exhibit rotational disorder over two positions each. The S-S bond distances are 2.0914 (7) and 2.0827 (6) Å for mol-ecules A and B, respectively. The dihedral angle between the S-S-C and S-C-C planes is 103.05 (15)° for mol-ecule A and 104.09 (15)° for mol-ecule B. The three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture of the crystal is sustained by numerous N-H⋯O, N-H⋯S and C-H⋯O inter-actions.

In the mol-ecules, the thia-zole ring is essentially planar [maximum atomic deviations = 0.014 (4) and 0.023 (5) Å] and is oriented with respect to the fluoro-phenyl ring and chloro-phenyl rings at 9.96 (18) and 70.39 (18)° in one mol-ecule and at 7.50 (18) and 68.43 (18)° in the other; the dihedral angles between the fluoro-phenyl and chloro-phenyl rings are 64.9 (2) and 64.6 (2)°, respectively. Inter-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds stabilize the three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture. Weak C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.877 (3) Å] lead to a criss-cross mol-ecular packing along the c axis.

Project description:The title compound, C15H12N2O2S, crystallizes in the ortho-rhom-bic space group Pna21 , with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit (Z' = 2). Each mol-ecule consists of a 2-hy-droxy Schiff base moiety linked through a spacer to a 2-amino-benzo-thia-zole moiety. Each mol-ecule contains an intra-molecular hydrogen bond between the -OH group and imine N atom, forming a six-membered ring. The two independent molecules are linked by a pair of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming dimers with an R (2) 2(20) ring motif. These dimers are further lined into sheets in the ab plane by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N inter-actions. The structure was refined as an inversion twin.
