Bizarre parosteal osteochondromatous proliferation (BPOP) is a benign bone and cartilage forming tumor occurring on the surface of bones, predominantly on the hands and feet. A defining feature of BPOP is the purplish-blue mineralization of cartilaginous tissue, known as 'blue bone.'
